Identity is a youth center for teens age 13-24. We are a safe space for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ) teens, but also welcome all youth regardless of their sexual identity, orientation, or gender identity. If you’re a teen who believes in individuality and equality you are welcome at Identity!

What we offer:
• Educational and social programming
• Events such as Queer Coffee Houses and Pride Prom
• Support from staff, peer youth educators, and community mentors
• Paints, canvases, and many other art and crafting supplies
• Video games, board games, computers, books, and movies

Identity Hours:

Friday: 3-6pm – Drop In
6-9pm—FrIdentity Fun

FrIdentity Fun
Fridays 6-9pm
We begin FrIdentity Fun with Beyond the Rainbow Wall, a 1-hour educational program where we sit down together to discuss interesting and important topics that affect LGBTQ youth and their allies such as bullying, safer sex, and job hunting. This is followed by a free meal and a fun social event. Events we’ve done in the past include movie nights, yoga, team trivia, and group cooking nights. Check out Identity’s calendar to find out what activities are scheduled for each week.

Youth Leadership Council
Identity’s youth leadership council is an opportunity for youth who want to be involved in planning programming and events and volunteering within the space to have their voices heard. The youth leadership council elects its own leaders, and every youth who attends gets a vote on how Identity operates!

Sometimes Identity has special events and programs on other days. Check out the Identity calendar at idyouth.org to find out when and where.

Identity is an affiliate program of the Southern Tier AIDS Program.
